Affiliate Disclosure
How Coastal Clues labels and manages commercial links.
Plain-English disclosure
Some links are affiliate links. If you follow one and make a purchase, Coastal Clues may receive a commission at no extra cost to you. Every such link has a nearby label; a general footer notice is not enough.
Current status
Coastal Clues uses clearly labelled Viator affiliate links for selected Looe walking tours and a Booking.com affiliate link (through the CJ network) for accommodation searches. We do not publish fabricated prices, ratings, discounts or availability claims.
Editorial independence
Commercial relationships do not buy favourable coverage or location verification. Useful planning information comes before any offer, and ordinary episode and character pages remain lightly commercial.
What visitors will see
Every live commercial link will be labelled “Ad — affiliate link” before the visitor reaches it. Gifted visits, discounts, paid placements and sponsorships will be identified in equally plain language.
Prices, reviews and bookings
Prices and availability can change and must be checked with the provider. We will not conceal incentivised reviews, fabricate ratings, suppress relevant negatives or present a commercial arrangement as an independent customer review. Purchases and cancellations are governed by the provider’s terms.
Cookies and measurement
Coastal Clues currently sets no cookies, stores no local preference and runs no analytics, advertising pixels or click-event queue. Affiliate links work as ordinary outbound links; the provider may process connection and booking data only after a visitor follows one, under its own terms.
Technical handling
When activated, affiliate links open safely in a new tab and use sponsored, nofollow, noopener and noreferrer attributes where appropriate. Links are managed centrally, checked for expiry and can be globally disabled.
