How to watch the Paradise programmes in order

A simple route through Death in Paradise, Beyond Paradise, the Christmas specials and Return to Paradise—without assuming every viewer wants every spoiler.

The simplest route

  1. Watch Death in Paradise through Humphrey Goodman's Saint Marie years if you want his complete background.
  2. Begin Beyond Paradise Series 1 for Humphrey and Martha's life in Shipton Abbott.
  3. Watch each Beyond Paradise Christmas special after the numbered series from the same year.
  4. Treat Return to Paradise as a parallel programme in the official Paradise family; it is not required to understand Shipton Abbott.
